For about $22 including shipping you can't beat it. In the meantime I ordered the 700LX and love it.Save yourself time and money and just order the Scala 700LX from Amazon. Do yourself a favor and get this - you wont be disappointed. I replaced my Scala 500 with this one after the 500 spent several days and nights in my driveway during a torrential downpour. I found the 500 after the rain stopped, took it apart, dried it out and glued it back together and it worked just like new (except the LED quit working a few days later).
I am totally satisfied. I hadn't heard of Scala before I purchased one but, when the dog ate my 500, and I am serious, she really did chew it to bits, well then, I looked online, found the 700 and bought not one but two, one for me and one for my partner. I like the features, the way it holds a charge, the time it takes to recharge all of it is top quality. I have to tell you that since I first purchased a Scala Bluetooth, I have been impressed. The first one was a 500, this one is the 700 and the quality, sound, performance are all still there.
Without glasses it bounced against my ear and never felt secure. People I called said they could hear me well and there wasn't too much background noise. I could never get a tight enough fit. I don't like in-ear versions so I chose this because of the "adjustable" earpiece.
After much research I bought this headset when my wired headset wore out. I'm shopping for another headset because the lack of fit is so irritating.I hadn't wanted to spend a lot for a headset, but this one does prove the old adage, 'you get what you pay for'. It feel off often, especially when wearing glasses or sunglasses. The sound quality is adequate.
It is not very adjustable and wholly inadequate if you have small ears. Spend a bit more and get something better. I use it in the car when driving so sound is a priority for me. On my end, however, their voices usually sounded very tinny and echo-y.My main complaint is that I could never get the earpiece to fit comfortably against my ear.
It is annoying but I am happy with the price I paid for it and it is one of the better brands out there. The neat feature is that you can page it from your phone if you misplace it but what I don't like about it is that it shuts itself off when you charge it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000Q5J2M6/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_titleThe Scala700 is a small unit with a too large ear loop. Reception is great and there is no background noise or static. With the Scala500 you could tell by the flashing light when it flashed red that it was time to charge it and when it flashed blue it was done. I cannot get it to fit right and it basically just hangs on my ear with the microphone too far from my ear. I must have some really small ears.
It didn't work for me it would only link to my phone when it was plugged up.
